Sometimes you see something so intriguing that it literally leaves you breathless. This is one of those times for me. After seeing this piece yesterday, I quickly grabbed my notepad and scribbled down the words that immediately erupted from my spirit. I didn’t want to analyze them so I just allowed them to come out in whatever form or structure they so happened to take. Here is what happened:

We dig and dig for inspiration
We search endlessley for direction
Head down, eyes forward, full steam ahead
We push on and perservere
We fall, we get up, we ask questions
We grow

We sometimes follow the crowd
We sometimes blaze our own path
We give and we get
We live and we love

Somehow, in the midst of all of our doing
We forget to look up
We forget to focus on the one who is moving the pieces
The one who loves and lives inside of us all

Now, I welcome your words. Let me know what comes to mind when you look at this piece. What does it spark, if anything? The thing I love about art is that it is always changing. You can experience the same piece of art at different times in different places and each time it can make you feel as though you are experiencing it for the first time.

Share your experience with this piece and then share this piece with someone else. After all, inspiration, much like love, is not meant to be held hostage. Its meant to be spread as wide and as far as the winds can carry it.

  1. The very first thing that comes to mind looking at this beautiful piece is that even in our solitude we are never really alone. It’s in those moments where God is most present and most felt. Even our angels are encamped about us when we feel secluded. Know that when no one else is around, when the cheers fade, the applause silence, God is still there orchestrating it all.

  2. As I stare a little longer I also see that our actions, our talents, everything we do should bring life to the God we serve here on earth. It’s through us that His plans and purposes come together. Powerful piece.

    • I agree completely Bianca. We have to get to a place where we completely understand that we are more than capable to carry out our purpose, no matter how duanting the task may seem. Why? Because we are not the ones moving the pieces. We think that we are the artist when in fact we are the canvas
